Woman sets up hidden camera to catch brother-in-law stealing medication

A woman suspected her brother-in-law Cameron Watson of stealing a family member’s medications, so she setup a hidden video camera. Indeed, the video shows Cameron entering the home without consent, and going directly to the cabinet of medicine.

On April 30th, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Hensley was dispatched to a burglary call that was captured on video at a Leeville Road residence. The homeowner had been missing medication (specifically Focalin XR), on several occasions, so she installed a hidden camera to capture what was happening to the medicine. A review of the video surveillance showed her bother-in-law, 41-year-old Cameron James Watson, entering through a back door of the home, and go directly to the cabinet where the medication was stored. He did not know that she had moved the medicine to a new location when she installed the hidden camera, so it captured him opening the cabinet, and rummaging through the bottles, then immediately leaves the home, with no success on locating the particular medicine.

After reviewing the video, and the history of the medicine previously becoming missing, officers felt there was intent on Cameron’s part to commit a theft. A further review also showed a similar incident on April 24th, at the residence. Cameron was eventually taken into custody, charged with two counts of aggravated burglary. He remains jailed on a $7,000 bond.
