29-year-old Christopher Baldwin was charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle was found stopped on railroad tracks and admitting having “a few” drinks to police.
On April 11th, Deputy Chris Finley was dispatched to the railroad tracks on Sparta Pike at the Watertown city limit in reference to a vehicle on the track. Upon arrival, contact was made with Christopher Baldwin who got out of the vehicle on the driver’s side.
Deputy Finley noted that Christopher had slurred speech, he was unsteady on his feet, and was drooling from his mouth. Standardized field sobriety tests were offered to be administered and Christopher replied by saying he would fail them, per the affidavit.
Christopher was then asked how much he had to drink, he replied that he had “a few” which later on meant 12 drinks. Christopher then stated his vehicle was at home and told Deputy Finley that “he had brought him from jail to the train tracks”, per the affidavit.
Christopher Baldwin was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $2,000.
