18-year-old Autumn Ford was charged with criminal trespassing after she and a group of friends were caught in the Fed Ex parking lot attempting to burgle unlocked vehicles.
On February 13th, police responded to the FedEx building on East Gate Boulevard in reference to suspicious persons in a Ford Taurus. Upon arrival, police spoke with security employee Teresa Schott who had been tipped off that there was a suspicious vehicle in the FedEx parking lot. The individuals who gave the tip said there was a grey 4-door Ford Taurus in the parking lot and the people inside were checking door handles to other vehicles in an attempt to gain access to them.

Security followed the vehicle to the end of East Gate Boulevard then turned around to meet police at FedEx. Police made contact with the Ford Taurus on the east ramp of Highway 109 where they found 5 individuals occupying the vehicle. The individuals were identified as William Hodge, Dylan Hodge, Zachary Swift, Hannah Forkum, and Autumn Ford.
William Hodge was caught on video entering a vehicle wearing black clothing but upon exiting the vehicle he was wearing a members-only jacket that was orange, white, and blue. William was also seen wearing the same jacket on police bodycam footage. There are multiple signs posted that state, “FedEx Employees Only, Private Property, No Trespassing, No Soliciting.”
According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s website, William Hodge was brought in on February 13th and his brother Dylan Hodge on February 14th. Hannah Forkum and Zachary Swift were taken into custody on March 30th.
On March 25th, Autumn Ford was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. She was later released on her own recognizance.
