Guatemalan man charged with reckless driving, no license after almost colliding with cop car

30-year-old Julian Vasquez was charged with reckless driving and driving without a license when he veered into the path of a patrol vehicle nearly causing a head-on collision.

On July 17th, an officer was traveling east on Trousdale Ferry Pike when Julian Vasquez left the westbound lane and entered the path of his cruiser. According to affidavits, the officer was forced to perform evasive maneuvers to avoid being struck head-on.

The incident prompted a traffic stop. When asked for his driver’s license Vasquez produced a Republic of Guatemala Consular identification card. It was later discovered Julian Vasquez does not have a valid driver’s license.

Julian Vasquez was charged with reckless driving and no driver’s license. His bond was set at $1,500.
