Mt. Juliet man admits to downing several drinks during traffic stop

23-year-old Kolby Eady was charged with driving under the influence after admitting to drinking 4-5 beers before getting behind the wheel in Mt. Juliet.

On July 12th, Officer Hickson received a call regarding a reportedly impaired driver at the intersection of Golden Bear Gateway and Rutland Drive. While en route, Hickson was informed that the vehicle had begun travel onto Rutland Drive. Hickson made contact with the vehicle in question and conducted a traffic stop.

According to the affidavit, the driver, who was later identified as Kolby Eady, was unstable on his feet, had watery red eyes, and emitted the scent similar to that of alcohol. Eady proceeded to admit to consuming 4-5 beers before driving. Law enforcement then administered several field sobriety tests on Eady, who showed signs of impairment throughout.

Kolby Eady was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $1,000.
