Mt. Juliet man caught in possession of stolen car and license plates

41-year-old Jeremiah Harman was charged with theft of property, use of stolen plates, and two counts of probation violation after an officer on routine patrol got a hit off his license plate and during the traffic stop, was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle with stolen plates.

On June 24th, Corporal Elliott with MJPD was on routine patrol and got a hit from the license plate reader in the area of Central Pike and Chandler Road. A traffic stop was conducted on the Nissan Altima in the area of 1541 South Mt. Juliet Road and the driver was identified as Jeremiah Harman.

The officer conducted a computer check and discovered the license plate on the vehicle was reported stolen June 23rd in Davidson County and the vehicle itself was reported stolen May 30th in Rutherford County. During a search of the vehicle, another license plate was found that had been reported stolen June 21st in Davidson County. The estimated value of the vehicle is $15,000.

Jeremiah Harman was arrested and charged with theft of property, use of stolen plates, and two counts of probation violation. His bond was set at $5,000.
