23-year-old Eric Stovall was charged with aggravated assault and failure to report after running over his girlfriend’s leg with his vehicle.
On August 6th, officers were dispatched to 419 Highland Court for a domestic incident where they spoke with Amber Hamilton and three witnesses. They found that Eric Stovall had been at Hamilton’s home and was attempting to leave. She was intoxicated and did not want Stovall to leave.
He ran over Ms. Hamilton’s leg with his vehicle in an attempt to leave the house. Stovall immediately got out of the vehicle and ran over to her saying “Babe, please wake up. I know I fucked up. Please wake up.” After Hamilton woke up he got in his vehicle, left, and a witness called the police. Officers noted she had scratches on her arms and a tire track running up her leg, but she did not need medical transport.
Eric Stovall was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and failure to report an accident. His bond was set at $4,000.
