Unhoused man charged with possession of meth when he fails to appear in court

42-year-old James Brock was charged with possession of meth when he was stopped and searched behind Cracker Barrel for having an outstanding warrant.

On August 19th, Officer Jeff Scott was on routine patrol when he noticed James Brock behind Cracker Barrel in the South Cumberland area. Officer Scott stated that Brock had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in Wilson County.

When Brock was searched, the officer found a clear bag with a crystal-like substance in a cigarette pack in his backpack that was believed to be methamphetamine.

James Brock was arrested and charged with possession of meth. His bond was set at $1,000.
