Kentucky fugitive found with suspected cannabis at the scene of a theft

44-year-old Renae Jaggers was charged with paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and fugitive from justice when officers pulled over a vehicle suspected to have been used during a theft incident and it was verified she had active warrants.

On September 7th, Mount Juliet Police Officer Angle was dispatched to Academy Sports at 549 Pleasant Grove Road Mount Juliet, TN due to a theft report. The officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description given in the report. During investigation into the incident, Officer Angle identifies the passenger of the vehicle as Renae Jaggers. A search for active warrants was performed which led to the discovery that Jaggers was wanted in Simpson County, Kentucky for multiple charges.

The Commonwealth confirmed with Officer Angle that they intend to extradite Jaggers. When questioned about the warrant, she admitted to intentionally leaving Kentucky to avoid prosecution. Officer Angle performed a search of the vehicle and found a glass pipe under the passenger seat, and a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana. A search of the trunk of the vehicle following Jagger’s arrest revealed a magnetic box with residue consistent with marijuana inside and a set of digital scales.

Renae Jaggers was charged with possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and fugitive from justice. She was released on her own recognizance.
