Man attempting to steal from Walmart caught with drugs in his car

36-year-old Jazzmon Sunders was charged with possession of heroin, cocaine, and paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, and theft after police searched his vehicle and found illegal drugs when he attempted to steal from Walmart.

On September 18th, Lebanon Police Officer Parish was called to Walmart to assist another officer when a man came bolting out of Walmart. Employees following closely behind told officers that the man had stolen merchandise. He began running from police despite them ordering him to stop.

Police finally apprehended the man and detained him, who initially identified himself as Dallas Sanders but was later identified as Jazzmon Sunders and was found to have active warrants. A search of his vehicle led police to recover a baggy with heroin inside and a baggy with cocaine inside. They also found a set of digital scales. When Sunders initially exited Walmart, he had a cart full of merchandise and showed no intent to pay for the items. The merchandise in the cart that he ditched while running was valued at $473.41.

Jazzmon Sunders was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, theft of merchandise, and evading arrest. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $17,000 bond.
