Mt. Juliet woman charged with DUI tells officers she was drinking at a wedding before driving

30-year-old Jessica Dunsavage was charged with driving under the influence after she crashed into a car that was in front of her and admitted to officers she had been drinking at a wedding earlier.

On September 12th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Gibbs was dispatched to a crash near the F & M Bank located at 4151 North Mt. Juliet Road and made contact with Jessica Dunsavage. Jessica told officers that her foot had slipped off the brake pedal causing her to run into the car in front of her. Officer Gibbs noticed the strong odor of an intoxicant on and about her breath and person.

Jessica admitted she had consumed alcohol at a wedding earlier prior to driving. Officer Gibbs offered several sobriety tests and Jessica exhibited clues of impairment on each.

Jessica Dunsavage was arrested and charged with DUI and was released on her own recognizance.
