Suspicious man caught with stolen items on Parkside Circle

35-year-old Brandon Austin was charged with four counts of vehicle burglary, three counts of theft, vandalism, and a prohibited weapon after reports were made of a suspicious person in the area and he was caught with items belonging to several different people.

On September 13th, Lebanon Police Officer Nicholson was dispatched to Parkside Circle in reference to a suspicious person in the area. When the officer arrived, contact was made with Brandon Austin who had property from several different people. The officer recovered an ATM card belonging to John Thompson who resides at 431 Parkside Circle. Officers went to his residence and observed his car had been rifled through.

Officers also recovered a TomTom GPS, a black fossil wallet, a purse containing $10.37, and a pink tote bag that was located in a Chevrolet Sudan belonging to Phillip Hendrix. When officers made contact with Hendrix at 403 Parkside Circle, they observed a damaged Interlock system that was just installed in the vehicle. The system was hanging by its power cord and was no longer functioning. It is believed that Austin damaged the device when rifling through Hendrix’s vehicle.

Lastly, when officers were searching Austin they recovered three Cedar Stone checkbooks, a debit card, and three gift cards all belonging to Belinda Lambert who resides at 417 Parkside Circle. All of these items were found in Austin’s possession inside of the pink tote bag stolen from Hendrix. During the search, police confiscated an electric conductive weapon, as well as, the stolen property.

Brandon Austin was arrested and charged with four counts of vehicle burglary, three counts of theft, vandalism, and a prohibited weapon. His bond was set at $14,000.
