Woman pushes husband after he flushes her wedding ring down the toilet

43-year-old Stephanie Perkins was charged with domestic assault after she had a verbal altercation with her husband which resulted in him flushing her wedding ring and her pushing him.

On September 9th, a Lebanon Police Field Training Officer Brian Speer responded to the Lebanon Police Department located at 1017 Sparta Pike in response to a domestic assault that occurred at 2304 Briarcliff Drive. The officer made contact with Stephanie Perkins who stated she was in a verbal altercation with her husband, Jared Perkins, which turned physical.

She explained that her husband had flushed her wedding ring down the toilet, so she pushed him. He then proceeded to push her back and she cut her head open. The officer spoke to Jared on the phone and he admitted that the argument and pushing took place. Stephanie was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Stephanie Perkins was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
