Dix resident admits to having meth in underpants

35-year-old Jonathan Stacey was charged with driving while in possession of meth, driving on a suspended license, and tampering with evidence after a traffic stop led to him admitting that he has approximately 15.5 grams of meth on his person.

On October 9th, Lebanon Police Officer Travis Rourke noticed a car pulling out of Dix Motor Lodge located at 1418 West Main Street in Lebanon. Office Rourke ran the tag and the registration showed that the owner was Johnathan Stacey, who has a suspended driver’s license. A traffic stop was initiated and identified the driver as Stacey. Officers were given consent to search the vehicle as Stacey stepped from the vehicle with his wallet, a black canvas bag, and a cell phone.

Officer Rourke searched the black bag and found a set of digital scales with white powdered residue, several plastic bags, a glass pipe with residue, a plastic baggy with 12 grams of methamphetamine inside. Stacey was cuffed and searched when the officer found another plastic bag containing 2 grams of meth. He admitted that he had shoved approximately one gram of meth in a plastic bag into his pants as well as more meth that they would only people to retrieve in booking. Once in booking, Stacey had to pull his underwear down to remove another plastic bag with a half gram of meth. Stacey admitted to Officer Rourke that he was on his way to deliver the meth to someone.

Jonathan Stacey was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia as well as driving while in possession of meth, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and tampering with evidence. He was released on his own recognizance.
