Lebanon teen admits to smoking marijuana during traffic stop

18-year-old Wesley Christian was charged with DUI after he admitted to smoking marijuana during a traffic stop and was found with a bottle of vodka under his driver’s seat.

On September 27th, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Seale stated that he noticed a vehicle swaying in his lane on Maddox Simpson Parkway in Lebanon. The vehicle then stopped in the middle of the intersection, at which point a traffic stop was initiated. Contact was made with Wesley Christian, who immediately admitted to smoking marijuana.

At this point, Trooper Seale asked Wesley to step out of the vehicle where later a bottle of vodka was found under his seat. According to the affidavit, he had to use the door to steady himself. Several sobriety tests were administered and Wesley performed poorly on them.

Wesley Christian was arrested and charged with DUI. His bond was set at $1,000.
