Nashville fugitive gives officers fake name and social; has cocaine in pocket

54-year-old Donald Walton was charged with criminal impersonation, simple possession, and parole violation after giving a false identity to a police officer who stopped to assist him while broken down in the turning lane.

On September 26th, Corporal Cordle of the Mt. Juliet Police Department, stated that he observed a vehicle broke down in the turning lane near Hobby Lobby on 66 Belinda Parkway. The corporal stated that he stopped for a motorist assist and made contact with the driver who gave the name Durial Walton with a date of birth of August 21st, 1968, but was later identified as Donald Walton. When asked for more identity, Walton gave the officer a fake social security number.

Corporal Cordle was able to verify Durial Walton when another officer provided Walton’s driver’s license information. A computer check revealed an active warrant for Walton in Davidson County. A search of Walton’s person was performed and the corporal found a folded dollar bill in Walton’s right front coin pocket that contained cocaine.

Donald Walton was arrested and charged with simple possession (Schedule II,) criminal impersonation, and parole violation. Walton is currently jailed due to the parole violation.
