Passenger snitches on stolen truck driver; describes his identity and vehicle

48-year-old Chad Locke was charged with evading arrest, reckless driving, and theft of property after deputies chased him into Davidson County then found the passenger who told police what he looked like and was driving.

On October 7th, Wilson County Deputy Seay saw a stolen vehicle matching the description that came over a BOLO. Deputy Seay turned around and activated his emergency equipment, Chad Locke then accelerated, recklessly running a stop sign at Chandler Road and at Central Pike. Chad continued to flee into Davidson County so the deputy discontinued the pursuit.

Later Travis Montgomery, who was the passenger, was located by Metro Police Department 14 minutes away at Central Pike and Lebanon Road. He identified Chad and the vehicle which was a Mitsubishi Raider with the same tag display as reported. Chad’s license also had been revoked thirty years ago and never reinstated: he was also charged with driving on revoked two years ago.

Chad Locke was charged with evading arrest, reckless driving, and two counts of theft of property. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
