Sweatshirt-grabbing man tries to stop girlfriend from leaving

21-year-old Charles Carter was charged with domestic assault when he grabbed his girlfriend around her sweatshirt and tried to prevent her from going anywhere.

On September 28th, Lebanon Police Officer Vance responded to a domestic call at 206 East Forrest Avenue. While en route to the residence, Officer Vance made contact with Ma-liyah Robinson who stated that she was walking down Lake Drive. Robinson told Officer Vance that she and her boyfriend, Charles Carter had a verbal argument.

Robinson said that Carter grabbed her around the sweatshirt to prevent her from leaving the residence. Carter began to follow Robinson but then left the scene. Officer Vance observed scratch marks on her neck matching her statement of being grabbed in that area.

Charles Carter was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was released on his own recognizance.
