40-year-old Steven Purkerson was charged with public intoxication after an officer found him stumbling down an overpass.
On October 23rd, Lebanon Police Officer Hulse responded to an intoxicated person at Pilot Truck Stop located at 921 Murfreesboro Road. Once Officer Hulse arrived, Steven Purkerson was gone.
Purkerson had started walking on 231 South Cumberland overpass. Officer made contact, he stated Purkerson had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and pinpoint eyes.
Steven Purkerson was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
