Backseat passenger found with pair of metal knuckles in stolen car

29-year-old Dakota Barber was charged with a prohibited weapon after he had a set of metal knuckles while traveling in a stolen vehicle.

On October 27th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Barth dispatched to Mt. Juliet Road and Central Pike in response to an alert of a stolen vehicle. The officer proceeded to perform a traffic stop at a gas station, located at 3195 South Mt. Juliet Road.

Officer Barth stated the occupants were asked to exit the vehicle and the officer initiated a search. He advised when he searched the back seat passenger, Dakota Barber, he discovered a set of metal knuckles in his back pocket.

Dakota Barber was arrested and charged with a prohibited weapon. He was later released on his own recognizance.
