Cocaine, crack, and marijuana found in groin area of man’s pants during traffic stop

24-year-old Rafael Carter was charged with possession of cocaine, crack, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia after he was found with a gram of cocaine, five grams of crack, and 12 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop.

On November 4th, Wilson County Deputies Hackett and Clawson reported seeing a vehicle make an illegal lane change in the area of Tennessee Boulevard and Cainsville Road. During a traffic stop, the deputies identified Rafael Carter in the backseat and a juvenile in the passenger seat. The minor was reported carrying a plastic bag of marijuana in his pocket.

Deputy Clawson performed a search on Carter and discovered a set of digital scales, one gram of cocaine, five grams of crack, and approximately 12 grams of marijuana in his pants.

Rafael Carter was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, crack, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $70,000 bond.
