Indiana fugitive found in possession of stolen vehicle

40-year-old Wesley Muffler was charged with theft of property and driving on a suspended license after he was seen backing a confirmed stolen vehicle into a parking spot at Cracker Barrel.

On October 29th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Troutman was on routine patrol when a license plate reader alerted a stolen vehicle out of the state of Indiana near US Interstate 40 and South Mt. Juliet Road. Officer Troutman stated that he observed a vehicle backing into a parking space at Cracker Barrel located at 350 South Mt. Juliet Road that fit the description of the stolen vehicle.

Wesley Muffler (WCSO)

According to the officer’s report, Officer Troutman made contact with the driver Wesley Muffler. A police computer check confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen on October 23rd by the Noblesville Police Department in Indiana. The officer’s report also stated that Muffler’s license was suspended out of the State of Indiana.

Wesley Muffler was arrested and charged with theft of property and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on a $6,000 bond.
