Lebanon man rolls through stop sign, caught with cocaine and meth

44-year-old Montelito Johnson was charged with possession of cocaine and meth after he was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign in the area of Cedar Street and East Market Street in Lebanon.

On November 4th, Wilson County Sheriff K-9 Officer Smith initiated a traffic stop on Cedar Street and East Market Street after Montelito Johnson, the driver, failed to stop at a stop sign. Officer Smith stated that Johnson was pulled from the vehicle and detained him after he tried reaching under the passenger seat. Johnson then gave Officer Smith consent to search his vehicle.

According to the affidavit, Officer Smith found two plastic baggies under the passenger seat. One of the baggies contained approximately 2.5 grams of a clear substance believed to be methamphetamine and the other contained approximately 1 gram of a white, powdery substance believed to be cocaine.

Montelito Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
