Man charged after being found passed out in vehicle with three grams of meth

39-year-old Sean McMahon was charged with driving under the influence and possession of methamphetamine after a citizen advised officers that he had been passed out in his vehicle for approximately seven hours and a search revealed a can of beer and three grams of meth.

On November 16th, Lebanon Police Officer Corey Oakley stated that he was dispatched to the area of 112 South College Street for a welfare check on Sean McMahon, who was passed out in his vehicle. The LPD office was advised by a concerned citizen that he had been there in his vehicle since about 1:00 a.m. Officer Corey arrived at 8:04 a.m. and saw Sean in his vehicle. After waking him up, Officer Corey observed that Sean appeared to be confused, disoriented, had slurred speech, and had an alcoholic odor about his person. His eyes appeared red and watery. When asked to step out of his vehicle, he was unstable on his feet.

Officer Corey reportedly observed a 24-ounce beer can in the center console of his vehicle. He then asked Sean if he had been drinking, to which he said yes. When asked to perform field sobriety tasks, he showed signs of impairment on each one. After placing Sean under arrest, Officer Corey reportedly found a plastic bag inside the console that contained approximately three grams of methamphetamine. Sean has been featured on Scoop: Wilson for stealing his mother’s Lexus and debit card when she let him borrow them to get a new cell phone.

Sean McMahon was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of methamphetamine with intent to resell. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
