Man charged after knocking air conditioner out of window

25-year-old Joshua Henderson was charged with vandalism and two counts of assault after he broke an air conditioner when he was denied use of a phone charger, per report.

On October 8th, Lebanon Police Officer Cothron responded to a vandalism and assault call at 904 Inman Court. The officer made contact with two individuals identified as Amber Davis and Kratio Word who told Officer Cothron that Joshua Henderson knocked on her door and asked to use a phone charger. Henderson became upset when Davis denied to let him use the charger. According to the officer’s report, Henderson hit the window air conditioner, knocking it inside the residence and breaking it. Word then went out of the residence and confronted Henderson.

The affidavit stated that a fight started between Henderson and Word on the porch and ended in the yard. Davis told officers that she tried to stop the fight and then Henderson punched her in the middle of her back. The officers observed a red, swollen area on Word’s forehead and his left arm had scratches. Officer Cothron observed the broken air conditioner and water on the floor. The estimated cost of the air conditioner was $200.

On November 20th, Joshua Henderson was arrested and charged with vandalism and two counts of assault. Henderson remains jailed in lieu of a $1,500 bond.
