feat Duke Tina

38-year-old Tina Duke was charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license after police were notified of a Chevy Malibu driving recklessly on Interstate 40.

On November 2nd, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Clark responded to a call in reference to a reckless driver at Mile Marker 229 on Interstate 40. Officer Clark observed the vehicle swerving between lanes at Mile Marker 223.6. The driver, later identified as Tina Duke, was slow to react when Officer Clark initiated a traffic stop. According to the affidavit, Duke exhibited pinpoint pupils, slurred speech, and unsteadiness on her feet while walking and exiting her vehicle.

Duke consented to perform field sobriety tests, where she swayed and leaned forward during the process. Duke was unable to follow the pen with her eyes, continued to sway, and was unable to keep her balance. Duke stopped and missed several heel-to-toe steps while performing the task. The report stated that Duke stepped off the line numerous times, used her arms for balance, and placed her foot down several times to balance herself.

A computer check showed that Duke’s license was revoked for driving under the influence in Rutherford County in May 2015 and for driving on a revoked driver’s license in Davidson County in April 2016. The police report stated that the license tag on the vehicle was registered to a Ford F-150.

Tina Duke was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving on a revoked driver’s license. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $4,500 bond.
