Active warrant arrest reveals heroin in center console of vehicle

41-year-old Bradley Powell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin after officers found heroin and cut straws in his vehicle when they arrested him for an active capias warrant.

On November 30th, Lebanon Police Officer Thompson was dispatched to Super Discount Inc. at 1294 Sparta Pike for a report of a disorderly man. Per the affidavit, he made contact with Bradley Powell in the passenger seat of a vehicle. A computer check revealed that he had an active warrant in Wilson County.

After placing Bradley into custody, he asked to get his wallet from the vehicle to take with him. While locating the wallet, Officer Thompson found a folded piece of paper and cut straws in the center console. Inside the folded piece of paper was an orange powdery substance believed to be heroin.

Bradley Powell was arrested with an active warrant for theft of property and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $4,500 bond.
