Carfentanyl and methamphetamine found in woman’s underwear at booking

24-year-old Darricka York was charged with joyriding, possession of methamphetamine, carfentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and contraband in a penal facility after she stole a Ford Fusion and was caught with drugs in her underwear as she was being booked.

On November 28th, Lebanon Police Officer Wigger arrived at the residence of 105 Trousdale Ferry Pike in response to a report of a stolen 2010 gray Ford Fusion. Upon arrival, Christaney Brookshire advised she was at a party at the Holiday Express with Darricka York as her chaperone. She stated that she gave her keys to Darricka so she could get cigarettes from a gas station, and when she tried going with her, the vehicle was already gone.

According to the affidavit, Christaney texted Darricka to return the car, and she replied that it would be left at her mother’s house at 1215A Bluebird Road. However, the vehicle was still not returned the next day. Darricka did not answer any of her mother’s calls, and the police were not able to contact her either. Christaney’s mother, Crystal Brookshire, informed the police that she was the owner of the Ford Fusion and did allow her daughter to drive it but not Darricka.

On November 29th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Casey Clark was dispatched in response to a stolen vehicle and found the car with Darricka York as the driver. As she was being booked, Deputy Jessica Smith found a glass pipe, a plastic bag, and a piece of paper containing methamphetamine and carfentanyl in Darricka’s underwear.

Darricka York was arrested and charged with joyriding, possession of methamphetamine, carfentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and contraband in a penal facility. She was released on a $15,000 bond.
