Drunk teen charged after crashing car into fence

19-year-old Evaristo Lorenzo was charged with DUI, underage consumption, no driver’s license, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage after he was reported driving into a pole and crashing into a fence with empty beer bottles in his vehicle.

On December 2nd, Lebanon Police Officer Polston responded to a report of a driver backing up into a pole in the area of 400 East Market Street. Upon arrival, the officer advised the vehicle was crashed into a fence and located the driver, Evaristo Lorenzo, outside near the vehicle.

Officer Polston stated that Lorenzo smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication, such as red, watery eyes, slurred speech, and unsteadiness on his feet. He performed poorly on the three sobriety tests the officers initiated, and there were four empty 24oz Modelo beer bottles as well as an empty Corona bottle found in his vehicle. It was also reported Lorenzo did not have an active driver’s license.

Evaristo Lorenzo was arrested and charged with DUI, underage consumption, no driver’s license, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. He was released on his own recognizance.
