Man admits to injecting himself with heroin in Target bathroom

28-year-old Jacob Myers was charged with public intoxication after a Target employee reportedly witnessed him in the bathroom with a needle, and he later admitted to injecting himself with heroin.

On December 12th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Brown responded to a call at Target, located at 401 South Mt. Juliet Road, regarding a man in the bathroom injecting himself with a needle. Per the affidavit, they made contact with a store loss prevention worker, who advised that he witnessed a man in the restroom with a needle in his possession, and he believed that the man was injecting a controlled substance into his arm. Officer Brown then made contact with Jacob Myers, who admitted to injecting heroin.

He was also discovered to have syringes on his person, one of which contained blood residue inside. He had slurred speech, pinpointed pupils, and was unsteady on his feet. A computer check revealed that Jacob had an active warrant for failing to appear due to his 3rd offense of driving on a revoked license. During a search of his person at booking, a partial white-striped drinking straw with residue believed to be a controlled substance was found in his pocket.

Jacob Myers was charged with public intoxication. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $3,700 bond.
