41-year-old Derek Moon was charged with misusing 911 after police say he reportedly called multiple times to report an intruder that was never found.
On December 6th, according to a report by Officer Jordan Affourtit, Derek Moon reportedly called 911 five times over the course of six hours to report someone in his apartment.
Officers cleared the residence each time and confirmed he was alone. On the fourth call, the officer warned Derek that continued calls could result in charges against him. He called 911 again to report an intruder, but told the operator he was fine.
Derek Moon was arrested and charged with misuse of 911. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
