Man charged for disturbing the peace at Gimme A $5

47-year-old Jerry Herndon was charged with disorderly conduct after he was yelling at customers and reported to be indecently exposed at the Gimme A $5 store in Lebanon.

On November 22nd, Lebanon Police Officer Oakley was dispatched to an indecently exposed man at the Gimme A $5 store, located at 321 Cumberland Street. Officer Oakley made contact with Jerry Herndon, who was not exposed indecently at the time. Store employees wanted Herndon to leave the property, according to the affidavit. A short time later, Officer Oakley was dispatched again to Gimmie a 5 for the same complaint.

When the officer arrived and made contact with Herndon again, he offered him a ride away from the business. Herndon then took his shirt off, and walk around the parking lot while yelling. According to the affidavit, the incident caused alarm to the store patrons, and Herndon was taken into custody. Herndon has been featured on Scoop: Wilson for being charged with disorderly conduct in August.

Jerry Herndon was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released on his own recognizance.
