Man found intoxicated in one-car accident on Old Hunters Point Pike

30-year-old Christopher Baldwin was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license after police responded to a single-vehicle accident and found him to be intoxicated.

On December 5th, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Ware responded to a single-vehicle accident on Old Hunters Point Pike. Upon arrival, contact was made with Christopher Baldwin. The trooper stated he smelled strongly of alcohol, had red watery eyes, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.

According to the affidavit, he performed poorly on a sobriety test that was initiated and he could not complete any of the other tests. Further investigation also revealed Baldwin’s license was suspended on November 6th for failure to provide proof of insurance.

Christopher Baldwin was arrested and charged with his 2nd DUI and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
