Man found passed out behind wheel of running vehicle at Target

24-year-old Kyler Vaughan was charged with driving under the influence after he was reportedly passed out in a running vehicle with an open whiskey bottle and admitted to drinking prior to police arrival.

On December 1st, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Clark responded to a report of an unconscious male in a running vehicle at Target, located at 401 South Mt. Juliet Road. Upon arrival, Officer Clark identified Kyler Vaughan passed out behind the wheel with an open bottle of whiskey in the backseat.

The officer advised he was able to wake up Vaughan and stated that he smelled of alcohol. According to the affidavit, Vaughan had red, watery eyes as well as slurred speech and admitted to drinking. He also performed poorly on all of the sobriety tests Officer Clark offered him.

Kyler Vaughan was arrested and charged with DUI. He was released on a $2,000 bond.
