Two charged when found with 6.5 grams meth and 4-year-old child in vehicle

46-year-old Martin Strickland Jr. and 31-year-old Jalissa Brown were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent after they were found in a vehicle with meth and Jalissa’s child.

On November 25th, Lebanon Police Officers were dispatched to 516 Highland Court for a report on an overdosed subject. Per the affidavit, the officer approached the vehicle that was pointed out to them by the homeowner and saw Martin Strickland Jr., Jalissa Brown, and her 4-year-old son sitting in the vehicle.

The officer stated that a strong smell of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Jalissa admitted to the officer that there was a marijuana blunt in the car. A search of Jalissa’s person found a clear plastic baggy with 6.5 grams of methamphetamine in her bra. Searching Martin’s person, officers found a folded piece of paper containing methamphetamine in his right pocket. In the vehicle, digital scales were found in Jalissa’s purse. Also in the vehicle was a marijuana blunt in the cup holder, and a Mountain Dew can diversion safe with marijuana residue inside the glove box. Jalissa admitted driving to the location with meth.

Martin Strickland was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, violating child support, violating probation, possession of methamphetamine with intent, and theft of property. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $17,500 bond.

Jalissa Brown was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, non-violent child neglect, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $65,000 bond.
