Woman causes two-vehicle crash after consuming alcohol, per report

28-year-old Taylor Rogers was charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, and implied consent after she reportedly turned in front of another vehicle and caused an accident with her 5-year-old son in the car.

On December 4th, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Matthew Gilday responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 109 and Double Log Cabin Road. Upon arrival, Taylor Rogers and her 5-year-old son were in an ambulance being tended to. The other driver involved in the accident, Kevin Clark, informed the police that Taylor caused the accident when she turned in front of him.

Trooper Gilday reported that Taylor had red, watery eyes, slurred speech, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Her son was also reported injured in the accident. Taylor admitted to consuming a couple of drinks before driving and performed poorly on all of the sobriety tests the trooper initiated.

Taylor Rogers was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, and implied consent. She was released on a $3,500 bond.
