Woman drives off in stolen vehicle only to return when police arrive

23-year-old Joreva Davis was charged with DUI and unauthorized use of an automobile after she reportedly drove out of the Waffle House parking lot in someone’s vehicle and returned after the police showed up.

On November 22nd, Lebanon Police Officer Taylor was dispatched to Waffle House, located at 819 South Cumberland, for a stolen vehicle call. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, Melissa Russell, who stated that Joreva Davis had taken her vehicle.

While the officer was doing his investigation, Joreva pulled back into the parking lot and was taken into custody. The officer noticed the odor of an alcoholic on and about her breath and person after advising her of her rights. Joreva performed poorly on all sobriety tasks given.

Joreva Davis was arrested and charged with DUI and unauthorized use of an automobile. She was released on a $1,000 bond.
