Woman found in stolen vehicle with 13.8 grams of cocaine, a needle, and two spoons

37-year-old Emily Stephens was charged with theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cocaine for resale after she was caught in a stolen vehicle with 13.8 grams of cocaine, per report.

On November 28th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Barth responded to a report of a stolen 2020 Toyota Camry on North Mt. Juliet Road and Sunset Drive. During a traffic stop, the officer identified the driver as Emily Stephens and confirmed the vehicle was stolen on November 19th from Avis Car Rental at the Nashville Airport.

According to the affidavit, the car was rented on September 1st and was supposed to be returned on September 2nd. Officer Barth proceeded to search the vehicle and discovered a black backpack containing 13.8 grams of cocaine. There was also a needle, two spoons, and two pipes found, as well as residue reported on two bags, two bottle caps, and a folded piece of paper.

Emily Stephens was arrested and charged with theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cocaine for resale. She was released on a $35,000 bond.
