Woman stopped on interstate found with 3 empty bottles of ’99 Grapes’

29-year-old Amanda Harvill was charged with DUI after she drove into oncoming traffic with eight empty cans of hard seltzer and used her car to support herself when she exited the vehicle.

On December 6th, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathaniel Morse received a report about a vehicle driving into oncoming traffic on I-840. The deputy then conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Amanda Harvill. He stated she smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication, such as slurred speech and unsteadiness on her feet.

According to the report, she had to use the car for support when she exited her vehicle and she performed poorly on the sobriety tests the deputy initiated. Amanda admitted to drinking prior to driving and eight empty hard seltzer cans were found in a plastic bag inside the vehicle. There were also three “99 Grapes” empty bottles in the vehicle, with one bottle in Amanda’s pocket.

Amanda Harvill was arrested and charged with DUI. She was later released on a $2,500 bond.
