Teen returns home drunk after a party, destroys the outside of his family’s residence — Collin Johns

Police say 18-year-old Collin Johns came home drunk after a party and began destroying the outside of his family’s residence. He broke the two front pillars, a large light fixture, and damaged the swimming pool, causing over $3K in damage. He is free on a $4,500 bond.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On August 21st, 2021 at 23:54, I Officer West, responded to 809 Hillview Dr in reference to a mother stating her intoxicated son is outside of their residence destroying property and acting irrationally. Upon arrival, I made contact with the mother, Tonia Hulme, and she stated her son, Collin Johns, had taken off running towards the backyard.

More officers arrived on the scene and we began searching for Mr. Collins. Officers located Mr. Collins on the side of a shed In the backyard. Mrs. Hulme stated Mr. Collin had been drinking at a party and came home intoxicated and angry and began breaking items outside of the house.

Mrs. Hulme and her husband, Paul Hulme, walked the property and stated that the two front pillars that were broken were approximately $1,000, the black light fixture was approximately S150, and the pool was approximately $2,000.

While speaking with Mr, Collins an odor of alcohol was present and he admitted to destroying the property and drinking alcoholic beverages at the party he was at prior. Due to the totality of the circumstances, Mr. Collins was arrested for TCA 39-14-408 Vandalism and TCA 1-3-113 Underage Consumption. All the events occurred in the city limits of Mt. Juliet
