68-year-old Wanda Schwartz is charged with the domestic assault of her 25-year-old roommate, Joshua Collins. According to witness statements in court records, she was upset that Josh and her boyfriend, Ron Tucker, were moving in together at the end of the month, and he would be leaving her residence. She is alleged to have thrown a flower pot, and a fist. She is free on a $500 bond.

| On this date I, Cpl. M. Cunningham, responded to 2725 Lceville Pike in reference to a domestic incident. Contact was made with Joshua Collins (victim) who stated that he and his roommate, Ms. Wanda Schwartz (defendant), were engaged in a verbal argument, which escalated with her striking him on the face. I observed a large red mark on the left side of Joshua’s face. Each of the witnesses on the scene were interviewed separately. Their statements of the incident are as follows: Wanda stated that she and Joshua were engaged in a verbal argument, and she was pushed by Joshua while they were inside the home. Wanda admitted to throwing a plastic plant pot at a vehicle in the driveway but denied striking Joshua on the face. There was no observed evidence of Wanda being shoved or any witness statements attesting to the act. Ashley Schwartz, Wanda’s daughter, stated that she observed the altercation. She stated that Joshua and Wanda were engaged in a verbal argument that did not become physical. Ashley said that she did not witness Wanda strike Joshua on the face. She claimed that Joshua went around the side of the house and, when Joshua returned, he had a red mark on his face. Ashley did not mention whether she witnessed Wanda being shoved by Joshua. Terri Collins, Joshua’s smother, stated that she observed the altercation between Wanda and Joshua. She stated that Joshua was attempting to enter the house. While he was near the back door, she observed Wanda strike him on the face. She stated she also observed Wanda throw the plastic plant pots that came to rest near the vehicle in the driveway. Ronald Tucker, Wanda’s boyfriend, stated that he observed the assault and was involved in the argument. He said that Wanda was upset because he informed her that he and Joshua were looking for an apartment together, and he was leaving the residence at the first of the month. He said that Wanda became enraged and began throwing the plastic plant pots in the driveway. He said that Joshua then attempted to enter the house when Wanda struck him on the face near the back door entrance. As a result of the investigation, Ms. Wanda Schwartz was found to have assaulted her roommate Joshua which was supported by evidence of the injury to his face and two witnesses attesting to the sequence of events claiming to have witnessed the assault. Ms. Wanda Schwartz was then taken into custody for domestic assault. |
