Midtown Hills Precinct Officer Conner Harris has been decommissioned and assigned to desk duty as the result of his arrest for DUI Sunday morning in Wilson County. Harris, 32, a 6-year MNPD veteran, was stopped by a Wilson County Sheriff’s deputy on I-40 while traveling between 40 mph and 50 mph in a 70 mph zone. Police say he sucker punched a man at the downtown McDonald’s, kicked him while on the ground, rendering him unconscious, then continued to stomp on his head as people yelled ‘stop kicking him’ – as the victim laid on the ground, bleeding from his head, causing a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage.
DETAILS: When facing drug charges, it became obvious these two were not ‘ride or die’ friends, as one was quick to tell police all the drugs belonged to the other, who should ‘catch the charge for it’.
