Midtown Hills Precinct Officer Conner Harris has been decommissioned and assigned to desk duty as the result of his arrest for DUI Sunday morning in Wilson County. Harris, 32, a 6-year MNPD veteran, was stopped by a Wilson County Sheriff’s deputy on I-40 while traveling between 40 mph and 50 mph in a 70 mph zone. The deputy reported that Harris had red watery eyes, slurred speech, and displayed indicators of impairment during the administration of Standard Field Sobriety Tasks. 34-year-old Melissa Wilson, of Mt. Juliet, was driving the ‘Fat Bottom Brewing’ company van when she crashed at the I-40 entrance ramp. She blew a .199 BAC on a breath test, and told officers she “had a beer during lunch.”
35-year-old Matthew S. Dies, of Lebanon, is jailed on a $10,000 bond this morning in Nashville, charged with felony theft. Police say he stole a wedding ring from a home in August, when he went to work with his girlfriend, who is a housekeeper in East Nashville.
A 30-year-old Mt. Juliet woman, Brittany Morgan Crain-Hutchison, was arrested by Metro Nashville Police early Sunday morning, when on the way home to Mt. Juliet from a downtown Nashville bar. Police say she began to cry and stated she knew what was going to happen as she refused field sobriety tests.
22-year Calvin Courter, of Lebanon, is held in a Nashville jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond, charged with aggravated assault. Police say he sucker punched a man at the downtown McDonald’s, kicked him while on the ground, rendering him unconscious, then continued to stomp on his head as people yelled ‘stop kicking him’ – as the victim laid on the ground, bleeding from his head, causing a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage.
Kevin Helm, of Mt. Juliet, was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana, after admitting to smoking, drinking, and driving. and his BAC didn’t match his level of observed impairment.
