A Tennessee appellate court deemed a policy of prosecuting repeat Walmart shoplifters as felony burglars unconstitutional but that isn’t stopping Wilson County from continuing to apply the felony charges for petty thefts while the argument progresses to the State Supreme Court. Lebanon police just charged Shelly Beene with felony burglary for stealing $27 worth of merchandise from Walmart – which could now cost her 2-4 years in state prison.
61-year-old Debbie Moss, the current elected Circuit Court Clerk of Wilson County, was arrested overnight, charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident w/property damage, and violation of the implied consent law. She was released on her own recognizance with a January 2020 court date.

Brown, who is the ex-wife of famed music producer Tony Brown and the current two-week fiance of Bates Ford of Lebanon owner Tony Bates, was arrested and charged with domestic assault after she admitted to biting Bates as he tried to de-escalate an argument.
ARRESTED: Mt. Juliet police physically removed 18-year-old Matthew Casto from an attic space he had been living in, which connected to a 14-year-old’s bedroom via a door in her closet. Police say he would only come down at night when she secured her door and had lived there for a period of time.
