When reporting on arrests, we believe there is a fine balance between informing the public on news items, and not having a story follow a person on the internet and in search results forever. Here’s that balance we’ve found for Scoop: Wilson, where we publish to: our website, our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), Apple News, Google News, Yahoo News , and several mugshot/crime websites, to include white label (privately branded) properties.
Arrest/Booking info with no full news story:
- 7-day news cycle
- Once an item has been published for 7 days, we will remove it upon request at no charge. Due to the volume of requests, completion time is approximately 45 days from date of submission, and only includes removal from our servers and social media platforms
Removal from search engine results and other news sites (Apple News, Google News, etc..) is available as an additional paid service, or you can make the requests on your own after removal is complete. - After the 7-day news cycle, if you’d like to speed up the process, you can purchase an express ticket to move your request to the front of the line. Express tickets include full removal from our sites, social media, and servers within 24 hours, and search engine results and accompanying news sites (Google/Apple News, etc..) within approximately 72 hours.
