Man witnessed ditching heroin and pipes from window while being stopped

47-year-old Terrance Barr was charged with possession of meth, possession of heroin, driving on revoked, and tampering with evidence after he chucked drugs and paraphernalia out of both sides of his vehicle during a traffic stop. His girlfriend called and told Scoop: Wilson that he was being targeted.

On October 29th, Lebanon Police Officer Parish was in the area of North Cumberland and West Forrest when he noticed Terrance Barr, who was on his way to his detail company. Officer Parish had prior knowledge of Barr having a suspended Alabama driver License. The officer then follows Barr in his vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Barr then started to throw items out of the vehicle before stopping near 1017 Sparta Pike. The affidavit makes special note that the odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Contact was then made with Barr who was detained and a computer check did confirm his license is suspended. Later, the officer was able to recover .5 grams of heroin and 7.1 grams of methamphetamine from the debris Barr threw from his vehicle. The officer made mention of a shattered glass pipe on the roadway.

Later, Brittany, the girlfriend of Barr, contacted Scoop: Wilson and stated that Barr was being targeted. Brittany also stated that she was in an incident with someone else who got similar charges, but that person received almost half the bond Barr received.

Terrance Barr was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, driving on revoked, tampering with evidence, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $61,000 bond.
