25-year-old Juan Velez was charged with domestic assault after he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend that turned physical when he grabbed a PlayStation, hit her with it, then slapped her in the face, per report.
On July 9th, LPD Officer Nicholson was called to 502 Fairview Avenue Apt 3307 in reference to a possible domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with Ariel Brown and Juan Velez.
During the investigation, the officer discovered there was an argument between Ariel and Juan. According to the affidavit, Juan grabbed a PlayStation game system and hit Ariel with it. He then slapped her in the face.
Juan Velez was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
