Amanda Tufaro was in the parking lot of Mapco at 194 S. Mt. Juliet Road, when WCSO Officer Nathan Montoya pulled into an open parking space in his vehicle. She then exited her vehicle and approached the officer, yelling that he was in her parking space, and that he needed to move.
Officer Montoya reports that the woman appeared to be impaired, noting her body actions and pinpoint pupils. He detained her for suspected DUI, and conducted field sobriety tests, all of which indicated impairment. A search of Tufaro’s vehicle was conducted, and revealed a folded napkin with Heroin inside, and a white substance believed to be cocaine. Additionally, a bag of marijuana was found inside a bag in the vehicle.
Tufaro was arrested and charged with DUI, and two counts of drug possession. She was booked into jail and posted a $2,2000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court in July.
