Lebanon Police say John Paris uploaded a sex tape of him and a girlfriend to social media after the relationship ended, and that he called/messaged her more than 60 times in 3 hours, some of which occurred while she was with police, filing the complaint.
The victim came to the Lebanon Police Department on May 15th and met with Officer William Nicholson. She stated that after breaking up with her boyfriend, identified as 22-year-old John Wesley Paris, she began to receive phone calls, text messages, and Facebook Messenger calls from him, despite asking him to not contact her by any means, which even continued in the presence of the officer while she was being interviewed.
The victim also showed the officer a video posted to social media by Paris, showing the two engaged in sex. After viewing the video, and witnessing the calls, the officer determined there was probable cause to charge John Paris with harassment, and a warrant was issued the following day, on May 16th. He was booked into the Wilson County Jail at 10:19 a.m. that morning, processed, and released on his own recognizance at 1:00 p.m. that same afternoon, with conditions that stated he was to stay away from his ex-girlfriend, her home, or any place he would know her to likely be.
Later that same day, on May 16th, the victim returned to the Lebanon Police Department, to report that she was on her way home in a vehicle with another male, when she observed John Paris walking on the sidewalk near her house, and had no legitimate reason to be there. In her statement to police, she says that when Paris noticed them, he ripped his shirt off his body, and displayed both of his middle fingers, while screaming “Fuck You!” to her and the other occupant in the vehicle, while moving toward it in an aggressive manner. Paris was once again booked into the Wilson County Jail, just three hours after his earlier release, this time charged with stalking and criminal trespass. He is scheduled to appear in court in August on both cases.
