Upset over pay, man assaults woman with ‘glittery pumpkin’, per police.

Mt. Juliet Police charged 26-year-old Jeremiah Gooch with assault and disorderly conduct after they say he became upset over his paycheck and assaulted a female office worker with a glittery pumpkin, before threatening to “be back with my boys”.

MJPD Officers responded to Workforce Brokers on Lebanon Road to a report of a fight in progress on September 13th. Officer Wiley arrived to find that 26-year-old Jeremiah Gooch had entered the business, demanding his paycheck, however, Gooch was paid bi-weekly, and it wasn’t the week for him to be paid.

Upset over the situation, he is alleged to have grabbed a ‘glittery pumpkin’, per the report, and threw it at one of the female office workers, striking her in the shoulder, and then striking her again with a photo frame from the desk. He then grabbed a stack of checks from the desk and threw them at a second female office worker, and told both ladies he would “be back with my boys”.
