Mt. Juliet Police charged 26-year-old Jeremiah Gooch with assault and disorderly conduct after they say he became upset over his paycheck and assaulted a female office worker with a glittery pumpkin, before threatening to “be back with my boys”.
MJPD Officers responded to Workforce Brokers on Lebanon Road to a report of a fight in progress on September 13th. Officer Wiley arrived to find that 26-year-old Jeremiah Gooch had entered the business, demanding his paycheck, however, Gooch was paid bi-weekly, and it wasn’t the week for him to be paid.
Upset over the situation, he is alleged to have grabbed a ‘glittery pumpkin’, per the report, and threw it at one of the female office workers, striking her in the shoulder, and then striking her again with a photo frame from the desk. He then grabbed a stack of checks from the desk and threw them at a second female office worker, and told both ladies he would “be back with my boys”.
Gooch fled before officers arrived, so warrants were issued for his arrest. They were served on September 18th, and he was booked into the Wilson County jail, charged with two counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct. He is free on a $3,500 bond.
